Jun. 5th, 2007 06:17 pmI do most of my drinking at parties, mostly my own parties. This means that most of my favorite alcoholic drinks are my own concoctions - a little of this, a little of that, a little of something else... and, yum.
That's ok, I find that I mix very tasty beverages. It only becomes an issue when I'm at a bar. I have almost no idea what drinks to order at bars, no idea what things are called and whatnot.
I thought I'd ask you.
I like fruity drinks that are of medium strength and have a lot of liquid to them (things in martini glasses not so good, I prefer more thirst-quenching power with my inebriation). I am less fond of gin, though it's ok in the right drink. The list of drinks I'm likely to order is pretty small, just stuff I already know I like: cranberry juice & vanilla vodka, midori sours, whiskey sours, margaritas (blended, not on the rocks), malibu & coke, long islands, and every once in a while, a white russian.
What do you think I'd like? What are your favorite drinks to get at bars?
