today is my birthday. i am 31.
this year, i am feeling adored and remembered by people i don't see often enough. some birthdays have felt invisible but for the party and my family, but this year so many people unbidden have wished me a happy birthday on facebook and twitter and even here on lj. there have even been phone calls! i didn't post about this (until after the well wishes had poured in, anyways). i didn't ask for this. i have friends and affection, unasked for.
and that is the greatest gift of all.
so grateful for my friends and my partner and my family today. feeling apprehensive about the future, but capable of tackling it and trusting and held up by the network of people who care. thank you.
