musical obsessions
I came back to LJ, but I haven't found as much of my desire to write. It's not that things aren't going on, just that I guess I've come to enjoy the quiet voice of my own narrative when it stays less linear in my head. So instead, I will share with you the music I've been obsessively listening to over the last few months:
Metric - fierce girl electropop
MGMT - funky electropop
Pinback - omg a new favorite band, melodic and sometimes disconnected dreamy indie rock
The Trucks - sexy dirty electroclash that kinda makes me want to fuck
Other names that I'm not quite up for describing, but if you're interested in doing some searching I highly recommend: Santogold, of Montreal, Meat Beat Manifesto, Mates of State, Felix da Housecat, Cansei de Ser Sexy (CSS), Black Moth Super Rainbow.
It's all so good, this music. It makes me writhe and dance and feel possessed. Loud and surrounding me, it washes over me like an orgasm and I am compelled to flow through it. So good.
