I'll be presenting at Arse Elektronika next weekend, and I am wanting to get some good photos of the event. I am a film photographer, and this is the sort of thing that I think digital is better for. [livejournal.com profile] metaphorge has a digital camera, but it's a few years old and really needs to be replaced. Any of my friends have a shiny digital camera I could borrow for the weekend? SLR or point-and-shoot is ok so long as it does the regular stuff and can handle indoor lighting well. Long battery life and lots of storage a plus. Good camera good, but I don't think I want to borrow anything so nice I couldn't afford to replace if something happened to it.

Make sure you have a laptop handy with a USB cable. If it doesn't have ample storage you can always offload the photos to the laptop and empty your memory card and then keep shooting.

I have a Nikon D50 you could borrow if you're comfortable. (512mb card.)

I have a Nikon D200, with an 50mm f1.4 lens, and 17G of memory card space.
